Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered!
Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!

Search far and wide for Pokémon and items
Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops and Gyms—found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments—to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items.

Catching, hatching, evolving, and more
As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger.

Compete in epic Gym battles
You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side. As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers.

Team up to defeat powerful Raid Bosses
A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with up to 20 other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. If you succeed in defeating it in battle, you’ll have the chance to catch an extra powerful Pokémon of your own!

It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await!

Pokemon GO is the first great game within the Pokemon franchise to finally land on Android. And it’s here by the hands of Niantic —the developers of Ingress— with a title that’s managed to combine all the original magic of these Nintendo classics, with the best ideas from its initial version. The end result: an adventure where you’ll need to get outside and move around if what you really want is to become a true Pokemon trainer.

Any user who’s ever played Ingress before will instantly already know what you’ll need to do and will immediately understand what the real idea is behind Pokemon GO. Those of you who haven’t been on Ingress won’t have too many issues either. Basically the game converts your city into a colossal video game scene where you’ll get to interact. Thanks to GPS on your Android, your avatar within the game will move along with you wherever you go, that way you’ll need to get outside in order to capture Pokemon.

Are you close to a beach or river? It’s a good idea to check out those areas specifically in order to find a water Pokemon. Do you need a plant Pokemon for your collection? Maybe it’s time to have a picnic. Similarly, whenever you visit PokeStops, which are usually located at interesting places like museums, art galleries, and historical sites you’ll be able to gain new items. It’s here at these PokeStops where you’ll also be able to buy pokeballs and restock before facing off against a rival trainer.

Pokemon GO is an excellent RPG for exploring on Android. It’s great in every sense of the word. The game is well optimized, has an elegant interface and fantastic graphics. But, most importantly, is that it has a ton of Pokemon just waiting to be caught. By Pepe Domínguez PVP COMBAT IS NOW AVAILABLE IN POKEMON GO

It didn’t make much sense that one of the main features of the Pokémon saga didn’t exist in its mobile version. While it was announced a few days ago, the new options for real time combat against other trainers in 3vs3 battles are finally available today.

Pokémon GO APK and how to get it on the top list of questions we get with every update Niantic releases. After receiving numerous conflicting questions from confused readers, it’s time to clear the air and cut through the confusion with a simple guide.

TLDR:

  • Downloading and using an APK is safe and not against Pokémon GO’s ToS
  • You should get your APKs from a reputable site: APK Mirror is our choice
  • Your phone needs to allow installations from non-Google Play sources in order to use APKs

What is an APK? How is it distributed?

An APK is an Android’s version of an installation file (basically a zip archive) used to distribute Android games. Every time when you download an app from the Google Play store, your phone downloads an APK from the store and installs it. The APK contains all of the essential assets to run the app, but the app can still download assets from the developer’s backend (or anywhere else for that matter).

When the developer uploads a new version of the APK, regional versions of the Google Play store gradually accept it and kick off update distribution. Therefor, some users receive the update before others — sometimes it can be a few minutes, but often it is anywhere from 10 – 24 hours before the update is available worldwide.

To avoid / circumvent this mechanism, Android users have built a number of websites where other users can share their update as soon as they get it, enabling the rest of the world to “skip the que” and avoid waiting for Google’s Play Store to distribute the update in their region.

Is using an APK against Pokémon GO’s Terms of Service (ToS)?

Absolutely not! The APK you’re downloading from an APK website is the actual version of the game you would receive whenever your regional Store starts the update distribution.

Using APKs has nothing to do with Terms of Service and if someone in your local group is sharing these false rumors correct them and show them this article. They clearly have no idea what they’re talking about.

Are APK websites safe and how to be sure?

Yes, APK websites are safe, especially the popular ones. In order to protect their users from fake APKs, websites like APK Mirror share their verification results publicly which anyone can check. Avoid, at all costs, shady APK websites that don’t publish verifiable APK signatures.

APK verification results contain the following info:

  • signature verification: indicates which party signed the APK
  • certified fingerprints: cryptographic signature guarantees the file is safe to install and was not tampered with in any way.
  • file hashes: you can verify the file you downloaded is not corrupt and was not tampered with using these file hashes
